Nothing gets me more excited than designer collaborations. I was super stoked about Jason Wu x Lancome, which launched during NYFW (with Fashionista reporting there’s more to come), and now Bella Sugar reports that Derek Lam is working with Estee Lauder on a collection launching in January. For now, we’ll stick with what we have: Jin Soon for TibiAntonio Lopez x Mac, and Isaac Mizrahi for Tweezerman. What’s your favorite designer-meets-makeup collaboration to date? Are there any you’re dying to see? I’d personally love to see Diane von Furstenberg collab with a beauty brand, and go into color cosmetics. Monster nail collections

I love holiday shopping—and not just for my friends, but also for myself. Around the holidays, I can always count on seeing a variety of colossal gift sets. This year, I’m especially impressed with the nail collections. Since I rarely use a whole bottle of polish, mini sizes are perfect for switching up my look often, and saving the money I’d use on a full-size product (as if I don’t have enough already). So far, some of my favorites are Formula X for Sephora The Twenty Two ($55), Deborah Lippmann Big Bang ($78), Ciate Mini Mani Month Set ($58), and butterLONDON Luxe Rock Nail Set ($65). And while you’re contemplating investing in one of these gift sets (or adding it to your holiday wish list), check out Stylelist’s tips on how to extend the life of your nail polish.

Budget beauty

Beauty products don’t need to break the bank! While it’s always nice to splurge once in a while on something luxurious—for me, most recently, it was Tom Ford’s Nail Lacquer in Indian Pink ($32)—there are great, high-quality finds at your local drugstore. The editors at Daily Candy rounded up some of their favorites, from Neutrogena’s Sesame Body Oil ($9.99)—a cult classic—to Garnier’s Skin Renew BB Cream ($10.79). Their slideshow proves that you can stock up on makeup, skincare, nail polish, and hair products at a reasonable price without sacrificing your budget.

Cold busters

With the weather cooling down, cold and flu season is on the rise. Refinery 29 talked to two NYC physicians, and shared 17 cold-fighting gems to boost your immune system and shorten the duration of your cold. I’ll definitely be bookmarking this for when I get sick—which is bound to happen within the upcoming months.

Beautify your beauty loot

I confess: I’m a beauty addict. I always need to test the latest eyeliner or try a raved-about lip balm. All of this has resulted in a lot of clutter, with my makeup and beauty products are sprawled all over my room. Luckily, Beautylish shares a DIY project to help organize—at least some—of my ridiculous collection. Their embellished makeup jars are adorable and would be great for storing eyeliners and brushes. They show three different jars and all of them are as cute as they are budget friendly (and easy!). I know what I’ll be doing the next time I have a free afternoon.
