If you haven’t checked it out yet, we’ve just published our “Influence” issue, dedicated to Asian American figures we believe have made a huge impact across industries from politics and comedy, to beauty and dance. Some of our exciting features in this issue include interviews with comedian Margaret Cho (who is currently dancing it up on “Dancing With the Stars”); Director of “Step Up 3D” and Justin Bieber’s upcoming biopic Jon Chu; co-founder of Yahoo! Jerry Wang; Disgrasian founders Jen Wang and Diana Nguyen; dancer and choreographer to K-pop artists Taeyang and Big Bang, Shaun Evaristo; and Teen Vogue beauty and health director Eva Chen.
On top of our influential profiles, we also looked to the things in our lives that have shaped the people we are today—from our ethnicity to the cultural phenomenon of the K-pop industry.
Upon completing this issue, we learned a great deal about all the factors and people who have impacted our lives—and in doing so, realized how influential we can be for others. We hope you enjoy this issue and we look forward to hearing about who or what has influenced you in your life as well.
