In honor of Bobbi Brown products finally making their debut at Sephora, here is a quick review of its most popular and celebrated items. I especially like Bobbi Brown not only because it’s super natural, but because so many of its foundations, powders and concealers come in yellow-based shades—perfect for us Asian ladies. While Bobbi Brown products are currently available for purchase at Sephora.com, it will make its way to limited Sephora stores come November.
1. Face Touch Up Stick, $22
This small tube of on-the-go concealer will keep your foundation looking fresh all day—and it’s known as the “magic eraser.” It comes in 20 different shades so you know you’re going to find one that matches your skin.
2. Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner, $21
This liner is consistently among the top gel eyeliners available at high-end makeup counters (other contestants include MAC’s Fluidline, Shu Uemura’s painting liner, and Stila’s smudge pot). Dark, creamy and particularly long lasting, this eyeliner comes in some really fun (but still office- and class-appropriate) colors to spice up your everyday makeup routine. Try Black Mauve Shimmer Ink (dark brown/mauve) or Graphite Shimmer Ink (dark shimmery grey).
3. Shimmer Bricks (various shades), $38
An assortment of five shimmery blushes ranging from light to dark, these shimmer bricks can be used for highlight, blush or bronzer. They come in a variety of undertones, such as pale pink, warm peach or a dark bronze. I can’t even explain the versatility of this compact. With one shimmer brick, you can have eyeshadow, blush and highlight all in one. It’s amazing.
Be sure to also cash in on Bobbi Brown’s infamous brushes (especially the ultra fine eye eyeliner brushes and fluffy face brushes) to use for any of the above products. Now that Bobbi Brown is available at Sephora, you can get those Beauty Insider points while you indulge on these gorgeous, natural products. All that’s left in the non-Sephora world is MAC. I’m still waiting for that day!
