Farah Angsana was the second show of the day for us. We were bumped up to the front row, which gave us an incredible view of the collection. The music by Roman Rojas had a hard-hitting beat that amplified the models’ walks. The designer had an impressive multicultural model lineup, which may have something to do with her multicultural background. Angsana was raised in Singapore, Los Angeles and London and was the first ever Indonesian-born designer to show in Paris.
Known for her bridal gowns and couture evening wear, Angsana is an expert in working with exquisite materials. Her fall 2010 collection featured 42 gorgeous looks and included tons of fine furs and detailed sequin embroidery. She also gave an edgy spin to a few of the looks with leather biker gloves. Dresses flowed as models glided down the catwalk. There were lots of jewel tones and many ethnic influences, which added to an overall look of sophistication and luxury.
