Keep Them Short & Simple
New Year’s Resolutions don’t have to be life-changing, and they certainly shouldn’t be unattainable. We all know that the most ambitious resolutions are the first to be broken. Try thinking about things that make you happy, or what will make your life easier, even if it’s just a little bit. This can be anything from getting organized to taking a little bit of time every day to de-stress. You don’t need to work out 24/7 like Madonna-think about what works for you, and run with it!
Be Creative!
The New Year can be a great time to think outside the box and try some things you’ve never done before. Maybe you’ve always wanted to learn how to knit, or maybe you’re dying to try out a brand new haircut. It can be even be as small as rearranging some furniture and adding some personal style to your room. Turning your living space into a fresh new environment can be a great way to start off a fresh new year.
Find Something You Care About
Resolutions don’t have to be boring or forced-they’re much easier to keep if you want to see them through. Tweaking your daily habits just a little bit can have a huge effect in the long run, especially if you’re thinking about going green! If you’re a coffee person, you might think about bringing a travel mug with you to Starbucks instead of sticking with the disposable cups. Or you could think about unplugging appliances you’re not using (phone chargers are a big one) or dabbling in some organic food! No matter what it is, getting involved in a good cause feels great, and can give you something new and exciting to think about in the year to come.
