00190mWearable and fashionable don’t always go together perfectly, but time and again Rebecca Taylor seems to do this perfectly. It’s for this reason that the New Zealand-born designer has gained her reputation in the American fashion scene, made apparent by the full house at her show in Bryant Park last Sunday, where even the standing room was at maximum capacity.
Taylor showed a feminine fall collection, featuring pastel colors, ruffles and soft fabrics. Every look was smartly layered, with the sequin leggings catching our attention as a hot item for the season. The sweaters looked cozy, warm, and yes—stylish—worn over flowing dresses and topped with structured, cropped jackets. Chunky, knit scarves also looked plush and are a current trend we’re glad to see carry over to next fall.
