Come celebrate the inspiring artistry of Asian American filmmakers as the 33rd Annual Asian American International Film Festival kicks off from July 15 to 24 in New York City. Tickets have already gone on sale, and this year, the festival will continue to promote its three-for-two discount, in which a free third ticket will be given for every two tickets purchased. The festival will showcase original feature films, short films and documentaries from rising and established Asian American filmmakers. It will take place at three main locations, including the Chelsea Clearview Cinema, the Quad Cinema and the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA).
Some films to look forward to include Arvin Chen’s debut feature “Au Revoir Taipei,” a film that follows a young heartbroken man who follows his ex-girlfriend to Paris, and award-winning Filipino filmmaker Raymond Red’s “Manila Skies,” which will be featured during the launch of the festival. Visit the Asian American International Film Festival site for ticket information and a complete list of the featured films.
