This season of Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week started for Mochi at the Silvio Liu presentation. The New York City-based fashion brand is the product of design and production duo Brian Wood and Danny Liu. This season, Silvio Liu blends understated cool with a touch of romantic rebel.
Brian Wood entered the fashion world in 2005, with a namesake menswear line that he created out of his own apartment. He grew a cult following in the menswear market and launched a secondary line called B Wood.
Danny Liu grew up in a family that has been in the garment business for 30 years. He developed a strong understanding of the business and production side of fashion, which he brings to the Silvio Liu brand.
Their debut line featured an array of short cocktail dresses and light jackets. Coral shone through as the primary color of the collection, with hints of abstract floral patterns here and there. Playfully feminine, Silvio Liu is for the young, urban girl.
