Twinkle5On day two of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, Mochi’s editor in chief, Stephanie Wu and I attended some fabulous shows. One of our favorite spring/summer 2010 collections was the Twinkle by Wenlan show.
It was a very fun and cute collection filled with flowing fabrics and colorful pastel prints. We love the style of a loose fitting trapeze-cut top or dress finished off with a long statement necklace. Our favorite look had that combination, but with the top tucked into a pair of white harem pants with a thin black blazer thrown over the outfit.

The designer, Wenlan Chia, is a Taipei-born American who launched the Twinkle by Wenlan line back in fall 2000. Wenlan has won awards and nominations including the Onward Kashiyama New Design Prize in Tokyo and the Competition of Young Fashion Designers in Paris.

The best part of the show, however, was spotting our past cover girl Yin Chang and having the chance to catch up with the gossip girl after the show. She looked beautiful as always dressed in a Wenlan dress.
