Creative Director of Elle magazine, Joe Zee, will have his own show in 2011 on the Sundance Channel under the Full Frontal Fashion umbrella, called “All On the Line.” There will be eight hour-long episodes, where Zee will meet with a new fashion designer in crisis each episode and provide “tough love” to help designers work through the problems in their collections. As the Sundance Channel states, “Joe’s prescriptions vary from case to case, but his fundamental approach is the same: to unlock the true potential of a designer and re-ignite his or her love for the fashion business.”
This news doesn’t come as a surprise given Zee’s frequent exposure on MTV’s “The City,” where he and Elle PR Director Erin Kaplan (the real stars of the show), take on the wondrous task of “working” with Olivia Palermo. Given the recent rumors that MTV will likely cancel “The City,” this new show seems like a great way for Elle to continue to build their audience on multiple platforms. With Zee’s vibrant personality and well-reputed career, this show will certainty be one to watch. Make sure to also look out for a special feature on Zee in our upcoming fall issue! [via WWD]
