Zappos, Led By CEO Tony Hsieh, Continues its Success: Will Hire 2,000 in 2011

At the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco, Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh revealed that they are going to hire 2,000 employees (seasonal and full-time) in 2011. So if you’re looking for a job in the next year, and want to work for a booming company, you know where to look. The competition will be tough, however: Zappos received 25,000 job applications last year—and only hired 250 people, a low 1% acceptance rate.

If you're curious about Hsieh’s enormous success (sales at Zappos has grown to over $1 billion under his leadership), you can pick up his first book released this past summer, “Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits Passion, and Purpose” which was featured in our must read book list.  [via Mashable]
