Street Style: A Familiar Face Brings New Style

Our editors in New York City are hitting the streets for some style inspiration. Check in with us every week to see the top looks we capture while out and about.

Spotted: Union Square, NYC
Hometown: Shanghai, China
Occupation: Assistant Buyer in Advanced European Designer RTW at Saks Fifth Avenue
Describe your style: I would like to think that it is constantly evolving.
Your summer must-have item: La Roche-Posay Anthelios SPF 45 Sunscreen
Favorite Places to Shop: Saks Fifth Avenue, foreign street vendors (I like to pick up something local from every city I visit), Zara, Gilt, Housing Works in the West Village
What she's wearing:
Shoes: YSL cage sandals
Purse: From a thrift store
Hair tie: Anna Sui
Skirt: I bought this from a lady in the mountains of Guilin, China when I was exploring rice fields. She hand weaves carpets and tapestries. She happened to want to make a skirt and I was lucky to run into her!
Top: Korean brand
Why we love her look: We ran into the stylish Jia-Jia again, and couldn't resist snapping another shot of her perfectly flirtatious summer outfit. What we love about Jia-Jia is that she can pull off any look, and the contrast between this outfit and the more polished, sophisticated look she donned the last time we saw spotted her is evidence of her versatility. And can we just say, OH MY LORD, to her Yves Saint Laurent cage sandals—they are incredibly lustworthy. But the coolest part of her outfit is the story behind her skirt, handmade from China!
