UC Irvine graduate Asuka Kondoh first auditioned for season four but didn't crack the top 20. This time around, she tried out with her dance partner, Ricky, and perhaps he was the lucky charm. Even though Ricky didn't make the cut, we finally got to see the 25-year-old Latin ballroom dancer break into the televised finals. For more info on Asuka, check out this LA Times interview.
This 23-year-old Hawaiian native is mighty easy on the eyes and mighty spectacular on the dance floor. According to SYTYCD's Web site, "Aweau graduated from the Kamehameha Schools and has been dancing since he was 16 years old." Last week, Kupono and his partner Ashley performed a surreal jazz number to Goldfrapp's "Felt Mountain:"
Alright readers, who are your favorites? And vote to keep these dancers in the spotlight!
