NYFW: Thuy S/S 2011: Playful, Flirtatious Separates for the Young Lady
While there is a plethora of talent showing at Lincoln Center's premiere season, many designers opted to display their collections off-site in more intimate spaces. This season, Vietnamese-born Thuy Diep invited guests to the Audi Forum on Park Avenue for her show. For spring/summer 2011, Thuy presented wearable separates in a warm color palette. The dresses in the collection were cut in versatile silhouettes that take you from day into night, all with a quick change in accessories. Per her signature style, Thuy designed tailored jackets that added structure to the looks. Dresses also featured seductive cutouts, a recurring motif we’ve seen in Thuy’s collections over the past few seasons.
