Mochi Mini: On the Road with Vienne Cheung, Founder of VienneMilano
Vienne Cheung is the founder of VienneMilano, a luxury hosiery brand featuring stockings made in Italy. Vienne and her design team travel to northern Italy once a year for design and supplier visits to launch new collections. During these trips, Vienne works hard but also plays hard—she enjoys sightseeing and eating lots (and lots!) of delicious food.
Join Vienne on a typical day in Italy…
In typical Italian fashion, I start my day with an espresso and a brioche. When deciding what to wear, I consult the weather. On a beautiful day, I decorate my legs with intricate patterns, such as NOEMI. On a gloomy day, I wear matte-colored stockings, such as VANNA.
The meetings with our suppliers are always exciting—new colors, textures and embellishments! We also brainstorm new ideas and designs with the suppliers. Sometimes, we have lunch at Lake Garda after our meeting.
One of Milan’s most iconic sites is Duomo di Milano. Construction began in 1386 and took more than six centuries to complete, resulting in a remarkable, Gothic-style cathedral. I’ve visited Duomo multiple times, and it always reminds me of my first trip to Italy some 20+ years ago. For the visit, I wear MAFALDA.
Pierino Penati Ristorante
Located in the suburbs of northern Italy, Pierino Penati is one of my favorite restaurants. The food and service are always incredible. With my OTTAVIA lace stockings and amazing food at my fingertips, I’m truly living la dolce vita.
The giveaway will end on Monday, June 10.
