Fashion's Night Out Recap: Models, Designers and Legions of Fashionistas
Last year, we remember the streets of SoHo in NY completely jam-packed with stylish crowds for Fashion's Night Out—and last night's festivities lived up to the same hype. Celebrating FNO's third year, it was a crazy, exciting and glamorous night out as we put our heels on and ventured out to store events on Fifth Avenue.
Our first stop was Saks Fifth Avenue, which hosted an array of events and guests including Joe Jonas, Ne-Yo, designers Doo-Ri and Prabal Gurung, Glee's Lea Michelle, and the woman behind it all, Vogue's Anna Wintour.
Though sadly we didn't actually get to see any of them due to unfortunate timing, we spotted top model Liu Wen and her fellow Estée Lauder spokesmodels Joan Smalls and Constance Jablonski, surrounded by a crowd of photographers in the lobby of Saks. Though it's obvious that Liu Wen is gorgeous from her photos, we were literally mesmerized by her beauty. If at all possible, she's even prettier in person and has an alluring aura about her—it's no surprise she's one of the most successful Asian models out there.
After checking out all five floors of Saks and all the beautiful clothes, we made our way uptown, where we passed a huge crowd outside of Versace as people were anxiously trying to get in to see Drake, who was DJing.
Next stop was Henri Bendel, which we're not ashamed to say we went to largely because we were starving and knew that food vendors from Suchin Pak's Hester Street Fair would be offering food on their third floor. There's really nothing better than macarons, ice-cream sandwiches and crepes while shopping at Henri Bendel.
En route to Tiffany's, we saw a mob of people screaming and running into oncoming traffic (New Yorkers are crazy and awesome) to chase after Nicki Minaj's car, as she just exited from YSL. Gotta love the hardcore fans. Tiffany's was also bumping and unfortunately, turned out unproductive, since the entrance was too crowded with people trying to get in to see Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester, who performed with her band Check in the Dark.
The best part of the night was seeing so many beautiful, unique personalities and styles out and about on the streets for the sake of fashion and shopping—and experiencing FNO in NYC is simply, fabulous.
