Eleven Asian American Models Who Have Mastered Instagram
Here at Mochi, we’re always looking for Asian Americans who are making a splash—and that includes the fashion industry. These days, we all know it takes much more than a pretty face to become a successful model. These 11 Insta-models (all of whom, it goes without saying, are drop-dead gorgeous) have mastered the platform, and we hope it helps propel them into big stars.
1. Issa Lish
This half-Japanese, half-Mexican model was discovered in a sushi restaurant in Mexico City and has since walked for Jean Paul Gaultier and Anna Sui. Her feed offers glimpses into her sense of humor, in addition to all the shows that she walks.
2. Luping Wang
This Chinese sensation has graced the covers of Elle China, Manifest, and Grazia China and appeared in shows for Chanel and Chloe. One look at her Insta feed and you’ll learn that she’s a foodie and loves to travel.
3. Mae Lapres

Mae Lapres represents an amalgam of cultures—she’s part-Chinese and part-Canadian, and she speaks English, Mandarin, and French. Her feed, filled with runway and photo shoot snaps, shows off her signature vintage style.
4. Sang Woo Kim
Sang Woo Kim is easily spotted for his ridiculous cheek bones and can be seen in Diesel’s Fall/Winter 2015 fashion campaign. Whether it’s a photo of one of his shoots or of him just hanging with friends, that chiseled face always glows on his Instagram.

In addition to being recognized for modeling, Xiao Wen is known for her beautiful skin. Her secret? She uses coconut oil as a moisturizer in the colder months to protect her skin. 6. Bhumika Arora
Bhumika Arora is one of the few models of Indian descent you’ll see walking the runways; she’s a breakout model to watch. Her feed features all her latest runway looks.
