CHOCHENG Spring/Summer 2010 Collection Evening Wear
Presenting his collection on the final day of New York Fashion Week, Cho Cheng wowed his audience with a collection that provided great closure to another exciting fashion week. We were especially excited to witness the debut of Cho Cheng’s ready-to-wear evening collection, which received a great response from everyone, including Elle magazine’s editor in chief, Robbie Myers. The gowns were Cho Cheng’s interpretation of the iconic Tiffany box, done in a silky charmeuse with dramatic satin bows.
This collection had chic, versatile investment pieces that were well-tailored and featured romantic, beautiful detailing.
Cho Cheng was born in Hong Kong and raised by his grandmother Betty Charnuis, a renowned Hong Kong fashion designer. He later studied at Parsons The New School for Design, and created buzz in 2005 when he designed a gown for socialite Tinsley Mortimer to wear to the Costume Institute Gala Benefit at the MET. He founded his eponymous fashion house, CHOCHENG in 2007 and the following year was named one of China’s leading fashion designers.
