Calvin Tran Gets His Own Commercial

Designer Calvin Tran, known as the unfiltered, outspoken, runner-up you loved to hate on Bravo’s “The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection,” is featured in The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago’s new commercial series as an alumnus success story. Tran, who designs shape-shifting, multi-functional clothes, got his start in fashion at The Art Institutes, graduating with the class of 1999. Though his success may be uncertain given the recent forced closure of his NoLita boutique, his entertaining, drama-induced persona suits him well for the small screen, as his exit interview hinted at his ambition in developing a new Calvin Tran show. You can check out more videos by The Art Institutes on Tran’s story, inspiration, accomplishments and advice on their alumni stories webpage here.
