A Quick Guide to Asian American Student Conferences, Winter/Spring 2014

Attention, college Mochi readers! Get your travel plans ready, because conference season is just around the corner. Here's a quick roundup of some of the Asian American student conferences popping up this winter and spring: Feb. 8, 2014 APAAC, the Asian Pacific American Awareness Conference, takes place at UC Irvine in a few weeks, featuring Beau Sia, Janani Balasubramanian, and Sumuni Pendakur as keynote speakers.

Feb 13 - 16, 2014 ITASA, the Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Students Association, holds its East Coast conference at Yale University next month. (Keep scrolling for more info on the West Coast conf.)

Feb 21 - 23, 2014 ECAASU, the East Coast Asian American Student Union, is set to happen at George Washington University in D.C. Register, or sign up to be a volunteer and get a 25% discount off the $75 fee. Mochi staffers will be holding panels at this conference!

March 28 - 30, 2014 MAASU, the Midwest Asian American Students Union, holds its spring conference in a couple of months at Ohio State University. Check out their Facebook page for a preview.

April 2014 The West Coast ITASA folks holds their conference at UC Berkeley in April. The Midwest ITASA conference is at UT Austin starting April 10. Check back for more details.

Spring 2014 NYCAASC, the New York City Asian American Student Conference, is still in the works. High school students, head to their Facebook page for info on how to become a high school liaison for the conf.
