As we pointed out in a recent post, March Madness has taken a new meaning at Mochi Magazine, and we couldn’t be more excited to launch our Self Made issue next weekend. In the meantime, we’re not the only ones launching new things. Here is the scoop on the latest projects of some of our favorite Asian Americans:

Our Style issue cover girl and former J. Crew designer Marissa Webb is quickly making her mark in the fashion world. She recently launched her own e-commerce site, where you can find tailored, sheer tops appropriate for the office, cuffed shorts for a casual yet dressy look, classic pencil skirts, spring dresses, fitted blazers, and even a cute pair of heels.

Congratulations to actress Lynn Chen and Hyphen editor-in-chief Lisa Lee for being featured in the April 2013 issue of Marie Claire! The dynamic duo launched the blog Thick Dumpling Skin as a forum for Asian Americans to openly and anonymously discuss their issues with eating disorders and body image.

Superstar fashion blogger Aimee Song collaborated with the folks at Bloomingdale’s to put together “With Love, Aimee Song,” a style book of upcoming grunge spring trends. The lookbook features layered outfits, including versatile chambray shirts, spiked Converse sneakers, distressed shorts, and trendy anorak coats. Check it out here.

Inspired by the beautiful Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, fashion designer Derek Lam teamed up with DesigNation for Kohl’s to create an affordable summer collection. You’ll find feminine, mens-inspired clothing, like tailored, printed drawstring shorts, collared vests, button-down shirts, maxi dresses, bomber jackets, and much more. The collection will be available April 5. Get ready!

Audrey magazine put together this great editorial spread of Top 10 Asian American High School Girls Next Door in their recently launched Spring 2013 issue. From Lane Kim of Gilmore Girls to Lana Lang of Smallville and Emily Fields of Pretty Little Liars, who’s your favorite?
